Annie Lennox
| Annie Lennox born December 25 of 1954 in Aberdeen Scotland. Dorothy Farquharson was her mother, while Thomas Allison Lennox was her father. Lennox went to her studies at the Royal Academy of Music, London in the 70s. She took a course in harpsichord as well as the flautist piano for three years. She was able to survive on a student stipend and did part-time jobs to supplement her budget. Lennox felt that her skills were inferior to those of the Royal Academy classmates. So she started thinking of other paths she could take. Lennox played flute with a group called Dragons Playground in 1976. She left the band shortly before their appearance as a guest on I.T.V's talents show New Faces. The main part of her role was the lead singer in The Tourists from 1977 until 1980. The band she was in, was introduced to Dave Stewart. Together they would form The Eurythmics the pop group. Following that Lennox began working on her solo first album Diva that was released in the year 1992. It became a huge success both commercially and critically. Nostalgia Lennoxs Sixth Solo Album was Released in October of 2014. This C.D. Lennox chose her favorite blues and soul from the time of her childhood. Lepidoptera came out by Lennox on May 19, 2019. The album is comprising four tracks that were composed by Lennox. The E.P. The E.P. is her debut independent album and a companion to her art work made at Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art named Now I Let You go... Annie Lennox is a Scottish singer and songwriter who was born on December 25th 1954. The latter part of the 70s was when she gained a little fame when the lead singer the group known as The Tourists. She and Dave Stewart then gained international fame in the 1980s when they formed Eurythmics. Lennox began her own solo career when she released her debut album Diva in the year 1992. This was the source of many hits songs such as"Why" and "Walking on Broken Glass. Medusa is her album in 1995. studio features cover versions of the songs No MoreI Love Yous as well as The Whiter Shade of Pale. She has released six solo studio and compilation albums. |
